Accessories and boots were painted Black. Pants - VMC German Field Grey washed with dark ink, then highlighted up through VMC German Field Grey, then VMC Green Grey up toward white. The shirt is Dark Grey, then highlighted up with VMC Light Grey and VMC Pale Sand. I decided to go for the sweat rings, since it adds hotness and makes her more of a badass.
The skin is GW Dwarf Flesh followed by a Flesh Wash, then highlighted up through GW Dwarf Flesh again and up through Bronzed Flesh and Elf Flesh. Final highlights add VMC Pale Sand and VMC Off-White to the mix. IMO, the GW flesh system worked really well for the sunny tones I was after here. It's great, because it doesn't look like it's going to work until the final layers are put on. At each stage before that, you say, "now that doesn't look like flesh..." Then, with the Elf Flesh applied, it suddenly does. Nice!
I wanted a coppery color for the hair. I started with VMC German Cam Black-Brown, and then highlighted up with a mix made from many different browns, predominantly P Hellhound Brown. I used a large filbert brush, and built up the color with thin layers, lightly rubbing the brush with an upward motion. Then I switched to a smaller brush, and highlighted up toward white.
I always use a large brush, if possible. More than saving time, it's how to get a smoother, more unified result. The end goal is to achieve what painters call "virtuosity."
I painted the gun separately, lightly pressed into a kneaded eraser.
