Partial explanation here: I have no idea what a Gort Beast is supposed to be. But it looks like a big bug. Well... what do you paint a bug? Like a bug? Or like a Bug? (The husband suggested Herbie.)

At any rate... I re-did the numbers a few times until I was happy.

And then there were the daisies. (They went away.)

Added a darker skin to the beast, and got rid of the flowers. I added "chrome" details, and started on the strapping.
