I use the Magic Wand tool in PhotoShop to cut the ship out of the original photo. Then I paste it into a new image with a transparent background. Next, I use the Eraser tool to get rid of the flight base and stem. After that, I use the Magic Wand tool again (on the transparent part), Invert the selection (to get the ship), cut it out, and finally paste it into my favorite Hubble shot.
