At this point, I drilled a hole in the belly of each aircraft. The holes will serve as the mounting points when the models are finished.
To avoid holding the models and smearing paint during the painting process, I place the models on toothpicks, and then handle the toothpick and not the model.
I attached the horizontal stabilizers last. They are molded with alignment tabs, and weren't too hard to glue in place.
