The bases are the resin ones sold by Langton.

I paint them Vallejo Prussian Blue

Then just dry brush them white

and varnish them with a gloss varnish along with the rest of the ship

HMS Cleopatra

As these are the first GHQ models I have done, I can only compare them to the Langton models that I already own. I prefer the Langton models for the simple reason that the masts are much stronger than the GHQ ones. Also, the Langton ships have a bowsprit that adds more detail to the ship. If you can afford Langton, then in my opinion buy them; if not, then go for GHQ.
