Now we'll stop here and go back to that Light Cycle I mentioned. I used a StarSiege Rebel Hellion Bike as my base for the mini.

Original cycle

I cut the front wheel and missile launcher off, and then used a file to smooth out some spots.

Cutting the cycle

The example picture I used is this one:

Cycles in Tron

I began applying and smoothing the Kneadatite, mixing a total of five batches over the course of the sculpt. If you try to sculpt too much at once, you end up squishing the shapes you just worked so hard at attaining.

Rough green

I wished I would have taken more progression pictures, but I somehow forgot - so here's the close-to-finished picture of the green:

Almost finished green

I filed and smoothed out some rough spots, and then coated the cycle with grey primer. I also used a piece of plastic, cut down to fit the back of the bike, to represent the energy wall that the bike leaves behind.

Primered

Now for the basecoat I used Ral Partha True Blue, and then highlights were made with Vallejo Sky Grey.

Basic colors

Once dry, I used the same wash as I used on the Orion IIC... only I needed five coats of wash. I applied more True Blue and Sky Grey, and added Black to the windscreen and wheel wells. A touch of Vallejo Neutral Grey for some highlights, and then a blend of Games Workshop Hawk Turquoise and Ral Partha True Blue were used to highlight the curve of the cycle. The energy trail was a combination of True Blue, Hawk Turquoise and Skull White, with the blending given some hard transitions to try and emulate the original inspiration picture.

Finished cycle

A coat of matte sealant, and then Games Workshop varnish was applied to the windscreen on the cycle, as well as the laser barrels and cockpit glass on the Orion IIC.

All that's left was to glue the Light Cycle to the base, using some superglue.

Once again, this contest has provided me an enjoyable time sculpting, and painting details I don't normally get to do.

Regards!
