The base was created using Super Sculpey into a little raised mound for the barbarian to stand on. A small spur was run into it, and the sloped areas were indented here and there to break up the surface. It was baked at 275° for about 15 minutes. When dry, I glued it on to a GW 50mm round base.

Then I applied Stickytack glue to the surface of the base, and glued on ballast to the surface of the base. I let that dry, and then painted it with a mix of Americana Traditional Burnt Umber and Apple Barrel Black.

When this all dried, I began to drybrush carefully with GW Scorched Brown. I then drybrushed with Ceramcoat Autumn Brown, Slate Grey and Hippo Grey. I also mixed the colors together here and there so the overall surface would not have a uniform effect, and would look like a wide myriad of colors.
Static grass was glued on and painted with Americana Plantation Pine. The grass was drybrushed with Americana Golden Straw and Hausser Green.

All that is left to do now is to insert the figure into the base and take final pictures. I hope that this report has been beneficial to you guys, and I further hope you enjoyed the read. If not, well, then...
