Sometimes at a convention, you can be just dead lucky and find a real bargain.

Editor in Chief Bill experiments with using recessed bases for figures with cast-on bases.

Building blocks?

I finished the bases off with some Woodland Scenics clump foliage to add a bit of color.

There you have it, good-looking forest bases without any fancy scenery products!
