Pour some PVA glue into your coffee jar lid or container, then take an old brush and dip it in your glue and apply it to the base where you desire the snow patches to be.

Applying glue

Dip your base into the snow, and leave for a few minutes to soak.

Into the snow

After it has soaked, take your model out, tap the bottom to remove any excess snow, and put aside to dry.
