They look good, and you can always explain that the steps on the back are cooling louvers for the powerplant.

Pretty nice ! thumbs up

Looking great – I don't think the horizontal striping is a problem – in a mini of this size – it just looks like extra detailing!

Meiczyslaw19 Sep 2013 7:10 a.m. PST

Has anybody ordered the "white, strong, flexible, and polished", or any of the "… detail" materials, and can comment on the difference?

Chef Lackey Rich Fezian19 Sep 2013 8:01 a.m. PST

Detail is smooth, hard, and glossy, much like traditional resins. It doesn't have the porosity or rough "sandstone" texture WSF does, but it still shows the sintering lines much too clearly for my tastes. Paint does not adhere to detail as well as WSF, so you definitely need a good primer coat and a sealer afterward.

Looks oddly like the Classic Battletech Von Luckner tank.

Tony5819 Sep 2013 9:29 a.m. PST

What rules set/s sets will you be using?

WBBoardman19 Sep 2013 10:16 a.m. PST

Rough texture could be considered future-tech zimmerit.

companycmd20 Sep 2013 5:21 a.m. PST

No problem guys that texture is laser-reflective, micro amblative (the very thing DARPA is working on). Also, the texture reminds me of something like lizard or insect tech.

The Gonk26 Sep 2013 6:34 a.m. PST

Very promising technology, but I still can't stand the fuzzy texture. Looks like a good miniature hit by a fuzzy primer coating.

Tgunner13 Oct 2013 8:18 a.m. PST

Not oddly, it is a Von Luckner tank. It just has a few cosmetic changes.

looks like von luckner tank, very classic

Gabriel Landowski Fezian26 Dec 2013 9:27 p.m. PST

Yeah, I have both star ships and WWI bombers from them. While I agree that the fuzziness can be an issue, I have to say I'm quite happy with the quality for the scale. The exciting thing is I have a model almost ready to go to print, and I know the tech can only get better….

kalgaloth27 Jan 2014 9:34 p.m. PST

maybe something new now in the showcase. the 90's called and want their knockoffs back

Red Comet05 May 2014 2:41 p.m. PST

I'd be interested in seeing the rest of Editor's forces.

John Treadaway07 May 2015 10:17 a.m. PST

As this has been up for a year and a half, can we have something else in the showcase?

Just asking…
