These three figures passed through my workbench recently for a basing update – I added a steel disk underneath, so they would store securely in magnet-lined storage boxes.
Do you recognize them? I have no record of which companies makes these minis, or who painted them – I suspect they might be from the project a few years ago when TMP readers sent the box around the world.
That gun has an oversized bolter look to it, but the armor is Storm Trooperish – can you ID him?
Either a small backpack, or the place where a larger pack is supposed to go? I added the flocking.
Recognize this punkish lady? Sci-fi or just modern?
Or did you paint her, perhaps?
While she was on my workbench, I gave her base a black ink wash, to add more variation in color to the 'rocks'.
Can you ID this Lara Croft wannabee? Is she modern, Pulp, or sci-fi? (Are you the painter?)
I also reflocked this base, when I added the steel to the bottom.
Epilogue
Since writing the original article, readers helped me to determine that the female sci-fi figure was broken – the long barrel of her gun was missing.
With great luck, I was able to locate the missing gun barrel! Unfortunately, it could not be replaced. And when I tried to straighten the bent gunsight, it snapped off too.
I then filed the broken ends down, and glued a small craft bead to the gun. The weapon was then repainted, and the figure is again ready for the wargaming table:
