Personal logo Editor in Chief Bill The Editor of TMP Fezian writes:

I've been slow to add humans to my 15mm fantasy collection, as the fantasy races are just so much fun! But now I have an Imperial army with knights, champions and pikemen, and this will be the much-needed fourth unit – more basic infantry.

Imperial footsoldiers

From this DemonWorld pack, I was able to create twelve infantry stands and one command stand. (The manufacturer also sells smaller packs.)

Imperial footsoldiers

The original DemonWorld ("classic") was a hex-based game with the figures based on plastic hexagonal stands. This was followed by a new edition of the rules (the "Universal" edition), which used a more traditional basing system and fewer figures. I don't believe either edition is currently in print, but the figures remain, and are some of the best fantasy figures in this scale.

These figures were painted for TMP by our friends in Sri Lanka, Fernando Enterprises. As I requested, they followed the paint scheme from the manufacturer.

Above is the command stand, which I created using the leader figure, a standardbearer, and a drummer.

The flag and shields were hand-painted by Fernando Enterprises.

Above, you can see one of the standard footsoldier stands. The footsoldiers have a breastplate, helmet, sword and shield, but lack the ornate decoration of their higher class brethren, the noble footsoldiers.

After I received the painted figures, I based them on Mighty Armies plastic bases (Rebel Minis) at three figures per base. I'm standardizing all of my my 15mm fantasy armies (old and new) to this basing.

I then flocked the bases, sealed everything with a coat of matte clear, and added LITKO FlexSteel on the bottom for storage in magnet-lined boxes.

More to Come!
