People ask me why I use painting services, since I'm a decent painter and could paint the minis myself. The top two reasons are:
- often, the painting services do a better job than I can!
- I'm time-limited – too many minis, not enough time!
So I sent this sci-fi platoon off to our friends in Ukraine – Old Guard Painters – because the figures had been sitting around too long waiting on me to paint them!
And now the figures have come back, and painted much better than I think I could have done, actually. I've based the figures on metal disks, contoured and flocked the bases, and LITKO FlexSteel has been attached to the bottoms.
Here are pictures of each figure, in sets of three:
Left to right: NAC Marine with missile launcher, NAC sniper with pulselaser, NAC marine (female) with L7A3.
NAC RAM mortar with crewman, RAM mortar ammo, NAC RAM mortar crew.
NAC marine pointman with L7AF, NAC marine with missile launcher, NAC female sniper with pulselaser.
NAC marine NCO/squad leader, NAC comms/electronic warfare (female), NAC marine with rifle.
NAC marine pointman with L7A3 (beret), NAC marine (female) with missile launcher, NAC marine NCO/squad leader.
NAC marine with laser designator, NAC marine NCO (beret), NAC marine with L7A3 combat rifle.
NAC marine with rifle, NAC marine (female) with infantry plasma gun, NAC marine with L5 support weapon on gyromount.
NAC marine with rifle, another NAC marine with rifle, NAC marine with L5 support weapon on gyromount (duplicate).
NAC marine (female) with L7A3 and ammo/meds, NAC marine pointman with L7AF, NAC marine (female) with L7A3.
I'm looking forward to getting these on the battlefield…
