I stumbled on some more South African sci-fi jeeps in my unpainted pile, so I painted them!

I previously painted up the South African Heavy Combat Team, but somehow I left out the jeep that comes with it, and it went and found three more models…

The good thing is that, because I had the previous article to refer to, I could 'follow the directions' easily and paint them the same way as the earlier models. (Some painters keep a painting diary for just this reason.)

I'm using the South African models because they are a 'wheeled' army, and I need an urban combat force for a planned campaign.

I imagine the jeeps will be used for command vehicles, but I haven't given that much thought.

These models have the same 'black' color scheme as the rest of the army, with distinctive red hand-painted 'blood cross'. I have a vague idea that this force belongs to a fascist empire (Synodus) ruled by a psychic elite, with the 'blood cross' being their mystic symbol.

I'm using 1" square 3mm-thick wooden bases (LITKO) as my smallest base size for 6mm gaming these days. Black sand on the base works for me as a generic urban terrain.
