The musculature of the Bronze Age figures actually looks a lot more naturalistic and less roidy in person, honestly- the high-contrast of the 3-colour painting style makes them look much more extreme than they are.

The actual figures look like well-muscled, but athletic, figures, rather than pro-wrestlers.

Ajax of Salamis

The Greeks range from Bronze Age is a mix of both historical and mythological personages. Ajax is a character from The Iliad, and also features in the Epic Cycle of poetry about the Trojan War.
