The Old Norse had warriors they called berserkers, because they fought in an uncontrollable rage "like bears." Both the Greeks and the Celts reportedly had warriors who fought with such rage that they discarded their clothing before battle.

These Tribal "berserks" seem to derive from both legends, as they spin about with their blades, and wear even less clothes than their fellow tribeswomen...
