I've been wanting to write up something about these nifty storage cases from Charon, and now that TMP's home office has more photography space, I decided to snap some photos!

Storage case

The case is roughly 11" tall, 13" wide, and 6" deep. There's a handle on top, and one side can be unzipped.

Storage case

Inside, you'll find it filled with foam trays, and there's an optional shoulder strap you can clip to the bag. The inside of the side that opens has a zipper for a mesh-lined storage compartment.

Storage case

In its standard configuration, the case holds three foam trays, plus a foam top-sheet. Each tray has 24 compartments, suitable for storing individual 28mm figures.

I have a number of these cases, and find them a quite useful size (72 figures total) for holding a small wargaming force, or even a skirmish-gaming set.

Now the mystery... what are they? I'm reasonably certain I picked these up from Charon. The cases themselves have no marking to indicate their manufacturer or type. They're bigger than the Gamer's Satchel (another case from Charon that I rather like), but smaller than the ScoutPack. Maybe these are the original Skirmishpack (not currently listed as available)?

Looks to me like Charon may have retired the original Skirmishpack in favor of the new Elite packs, which have the advantage of being a hard-shell case. Guess I'll have to try some of those, too... grin
