I wrote previously about using plastic succulents from the dollar store as alien vegetation.

Succulents

This is the original giant plant from my original project. The purplish color makes it good for an alien or fantasy setting.

Succulents

I based it on a flower-shaped piece of wood (also from the dollar store). Above, you can see the bottom of the base, where the wire from the plant penetrates the wood.

As the 32mm figure shows, the plant blocks movement and line of sight, creating tactical challenges.
