These terrain items are so new that they don't yet appear in the Tactical Conflict Systems catalog (which is why we don't have price and product # info for them).

tree stumps

There are four tree stumps in the package, made of a light tan resin. The trunks vary from 15mm to 20mm in diameter, are all about 30mm tall, and the largest root systems sprawl over 65mm from side to side. The trunks are apparently for use with 25mm figures (though they would make interesting "sequoia stumps" for 6mm science fiction games).

The bottom of the stump comes with a thin flat sheet of scrap resin. Most of this flakes off easily by hand, but you would need a hobby knife to trim it completely away from some of our samples. The stumps stand nicely on their own, so adding a base is not required.

All of our samples had minor casting flaws - tiny pits in the surface, or roots that weren't completely cast. One sample had four large pits (3mm or larger). (Fortunately, real tree stumps are often rotted, so the extra holes don't entirely look out of place...)

The trunk tops are not flat, as would be expected if the trees had been sawn, and one has the "pointed" look of a beaver-toppled tree. The trunk texture is lightly scribed, while the stump tops are deeply carved.
