Sometimes, you design a product to fill a need, and it ends up being useful for something else besides... This product began life as a set of siege ladders for use with 54mm figures (the old "toy soldier" scale). And that's how it's listed in the catalog. However, the manufacturer actually sent them to us for use with their 25mm/28mm scenic products - and though the rungs are a bit far apart for the scale (10mm, or more than 2 feet in scale), they don't look wrong when used with buildings and terrain. The ladders are metal, and depict six crossbars lashed to parallel uprights. There are various small gouges and wrinkles in the poles, but these are probably natural to the poles rather than imperfections in the product. A visible seam runs around the item (should be easily removeable). The soft metal is easily bent or cut, so should be suitable for custom projects. |
