We reported previously on the Final Faction action figures available through Dollar Tree. I know that some of you game with action figures, but I never have, so I decided to base some of these figures up.

I started with the Augmented Combat Rescue Mech (A.C.R.M., a remote-piloted fighting mech belonging to Alpha Team (saving Earth). This is the largest figure in the Alpha Team, with attachment points for various add-ons (not included!).

For wargaming purposes, the figure needs to be made so it won't fall over. I chose to mount it on a 3mm rectangular wooden base from LITKO. The best way to do this would probably be to drill holes in the wood, and screw the base into the holes in the figure's feet. But I just used gel-type superglue.

Tip: When working with pose-able figures, I find it useful to press the feet to the base while the glue sets, to ensure the feet are flat to the surface. Otherwise, you may find you only glued the edges of the feet.

I then painted the base, flocked it, and applied FlexSteel so the figure will stick to magnet-lined storage boxes.

I thought the figure looked good, so I didn't touch it up at all.
