Personal logo Editor in Chief Bill The Editor of TMP Fezian writes:

As you may recall, the background is that I picked up several packs of U.S. Specialists from RAFM's Charlie Company range years ago, was lucky enough to have Fernando Enterprises paint them up for TMP, but I was having some problems identifying what all the figures were, and the manufacturer did not respond to inquiries. What we've apparently learned over the past few months is that these packs were basically 'grab bags' of random figures repackaged from the Platoon 20 range (which are currently sold by East Front Miniatures).

U.S. Specialists

As you can see, the 40 figures have now been placed in their magnet-lined storage box, and I thought it would be fun to review what I ended up with…

U.S. Specialists

Six helicopter crew. Four of them useful for 'rescue the downed crew' scenarios, and two useful as door gunners if I ever finish my Huey chopper.

U.S. Specialists

Three teams of military dog handlers.

U.S. Specialists

Eleven artillerists (but no guns).

U.S. Specialists

Two anti-tank troops, two anti-aircraft troops (but post-Vietnam), and two medics.

U.S. Specialists

The four 'Geraldo's (cameramen), three drill sergeants, two Tunnel Rats. I don't think I'll ever need four journalists in the same scenario, and the drill sergeant would be challenging to fit into a scenario, but the Tunnel Rats would work in a special scenario (but why only two of them?) or could double as regular infantry.

U.S. Specialists

That's an interesting start for a Vietnam War force. More needed…
