Whether you apply the pin first, or the, doesn't matter. What does mateer is that you secure the pin in proper position before the Hot Glue hardens.

Hardened Hot Glue can be sculpted with a sharp Exacto blade, a small saw, or you could file it. Personally, I prefer to shape it in application and then sculpt it with the tip of the Glue Gun. It is not terribly hard to learn. Cheers!

You might remember these Dwarven gliders from years gone by? They featured in a painting contest here on TMP.

They've now been rebased, for two reasons. First, consistency. Second, practicality, since on the original small bases they kept falling over and breaking off.

I've placed them on 2" x 2" plastic bases, edged red to match the rest of the army. The original bases are entombed within spackling, then painted and flocked.

I also went ahead and painted the original clear stands as sky blue, which I've come to prefer stylistically.

It's nice to have the aerial gang flying again! I didn't manage to get all of them posed level and straight on their flight stands, but some unintended variety is nice. As long as players handle the figures by the new, larger bases, these models should stay in good condition. And these bases have LITKO FlexSteel undersides, so can be stored in magnet-lined boxes for storage and transport.

Now back to the tabletop for these aerialists!
