They are Nort snipers, from the Rogue Trooper series. I might have painted those, over 10 years ago.

Personal logo Editor in Chief Bill The Editor of TMP Fezian writes:

These wonderful figures recently crossed my workbench to get LITKO FlexSteel base bottoms added. (I store figures in magnet-lined boxed, and the FlexSteel helps prevent figures from getting knocked over and rolling around in transit.)

Sci-fi adventurers

Once the figures were updated, I started to wonder: what are these figures?

Sci-fi adventurers

So I posted some hasty pictures on the forum, and they were quickly identified as being from Bronze Age Miniatures. That company follows the unusual practice of giving its figures only code numbers and not names, so I can only tell you that the code is 32ADV10 – which presumably means 32mm scale, Sci-Fi Adventurers series, set 10.

Sci-fi adventurers

That solves the mystery of what figures these are, and I believe they were painted for TMP on commission… but I no longer know who the painter was. (If it was you, please step up and take a bow.)

Sci-fi adventurer

These figures are unique in this series due to their breathing apparatus, which the painter has emphasized with a gloss treatment on the helmet front.

Sci-fi adventurer

It's not clear if it is intended as a face mask or a full helmet, as the back is obscured by the hose connecting to the back-mounted air tank.

Sci-fi adventurer

The adventurer seems equipped for a world that is low oxygen rather than toxic, as he's wearing a uniform and not a hazard suit. There are pads on one elbow and both knees, there is possibly an insignia (or hose connection?) on the right shoulder, and the figure has gloves, pouches and boots which the painter has treated as leather.

Sci-fi adventurer

The environment must be benign, as the painter has given the figures a grass base treatment. grin

Sci-fi adventurer

The weapon appears to be a light rifle with a large scope.

Sci-fi adventurer

The kneeling figure is identical in equipment to the other figure in the set, except for having pads on both elbows. (That stuff that looks like a dust bunny in the static grass is actually some leaf bits.)

Sci-fi adventurer

These will make some interesting adventurers for your sci-fi skirmishes, or maybe pick up several packs and build a combat unit.
