I don't know how you 'manage' your workbench. Do you work on one project at a time, or do you multi-task? Will you interrupt one project to work on another?
I'm a multi-tasker, and I have many projects underway at the same time. I try to divide big projects up into manageable sub-projects, with four of these small projects active at any time, and many others waiting their turn. (Yes, it sounds complex, I know.)
Maybe my system is too complex, because these giant Beastmen reached my workbench recently, in the trail of many Beastmen I finished up last year, and I know I have more around here but I don't know where they are! (Must be in one of these storage drawers… )
These pig-faced Beastmen get up to 30mm in height, making them so large that I chose to mount them on 2" x 2" Mighty Armies plastic bases.
There are eight models in the pack (a 'unit' in the old DemonWorld game), with three soldier poses and one leader pose (holding a captured shield).
In the DemonWorld setting, the Beastmen are part of the army of a snow kingdom, but I'll be using these as their own army, and have had these painted in more conventional fantasy colors. To keep the same style throughout the army, all of my Beastmen have been painted by our friends in Sri Lanka, Fernando Enterprises.
The base bottoms are lined with self-adhesive, pre-cut FlexSteel from LITKO. This allows me to safely store them in magnet-lined storage boxes.
Now, I need to rummage around here and get the rest of the Beastmen herded toward my workbench!
