A few years ago, we showed you the pictures of the T-34 tanks which were painted for TMP by Troop of Shewe.
Sadly, those were the pre-shipping pictures. Here is how the tanks arrived:
The tanks were extensively scratched and scraped, with a few bits knocked off. What happened is that the painting service had shipping the tanks with the turrets in place but not secured, so that the turrets had come loose during their trans-Atlantic voyage and then bounced around the hull, causing all the damage (even though the tanks were wrapped well).
I was a little intimidated at the thought of trying to touch up an expert painter's work, especially worried about trying to match the colors. But I did my best (and flocked the cast-on bases), and here is the outcome:
