When a unique miniatures game like Inferno is launched - one which introduces its own fantasy world, with unique creatures and powers - the product line will live and die partly on the strength of the figures available for it.

Therefore, we're glad to take this look at a few sample figures which Global Games was kind enough to drop our way.

When I heard there was an Inferno line of figures, my first skeptical thought was - oh wonderful, the Demon of the Month Club. But Global Games hasn't taken the low road here. These figures are not all Balrog clones, but show some originality of thinking, and the size differences promise to make the tabletop look quite a bit different from other fantasy games.

I'm pleasantly surprised.
