This boxed set is part of the Sons of Kronos series, which is part of the Chronopia product line. In a nutshell, the Sons of Kronos are the wild northern tribes of this fantasy world, sort of a blend of Celts and Vikings. The Maidens of the Blade come from the Tribe of the Dawn (the pro-Firstborn clans), but may also serve with the Tribe of the Goddess (the traditionalist northern clans). So, what is known about the Maidens of the Blade? This sparse description (along with game stats) is given in the Sons of Kronos supplement:
(The box text explains that their skill and courage makes up for their lack of armor, and that their reputation rivals that "of the most fearsome units in Chronopia.") The warband consists of 4-8 maidens plus a leader, or you can take the Blade Maiden Leader as an individual. The contents of the boxed set are seven figures (5 poses), which the box identifies as six Blade Maidens and one Blade Maiden Leader. Curiously, though three of the poses are identified as Blade Maidens, the box text fails to point out which figure is the Leader (it's the two-piece model). The figures from the boxed set are also available in two packs - the Blade Maiden Leader, and the Blade Maiden pack (two random Blade Maidens per set). The boxed set offers the figures at a discount, but the packs are useful for those who desire a larger warband or additional Leaders as Individuals. ![]() |
