Today, I'm celebrating the completion of a 100-point 15mm Mechanoids army for Alien Squad Leader.

I went for a functional robot look, and it turned out monochromatic and kind of ominous. It's also a compact army.

My goal was a 103-point army, and I overshot by 60 points.

The Installation towers over the army – which is funny, because I originally wanted to have a tower as part of the structure.

The four Battle Mechs make an impressive line-up, but I can only use one of them at 102 points; and I can only use three of them until more units are added to the army. But I had fun making them.

The automata – infantry and tracked – were the original core of the army.

What next? First, I need to assemble the opposing army. Then I'll need to think about suitable terrain. Gaming will then ensue! After that, I'll make decisions regarding changes or additions to the army – I'm still lacking two allowed troop types…
