Flush Decker side view

This class of destroyers, built as a result of the First World War, were obsolete by the time of the Second World War but nevertheless fought in many of the early actions of that war.

Most of these ships had four "stacks" (funnels), though some were later modified to three. (It appears our sample may have lost its fourth stack in shipping.)
