After giving my Mighty Armies Orcs to Editor Julia, I am beginning to rebuild my forces.
Orc Hordes
These are the Orc warriors from the Rebel Minis Orc Army Box Set.
These were painted for TMP by Fernando Enterprises in Sri Lanka.
I've decided to go with three-figures-per-base for this army (the "new style" Mighty Armies basing), but since this is a Horde, I've kept this troop type at four figures per base.
I used the solid plastic Mighty Armies bases for these figures.
Underneath is Litko FlexSteel, so that the bases will 'stick' to magnet-lined storage boxes.
Orc Trebuchet
But I'm going to need a taller storage box, now that I have the Orc Trebuchet!
The Orc Trebuchet is part of the Mighty Armies line, but it sold separately from the Orc Army Boxed Set.
Rebel Minis currently lists this model as "out of stock," but I suspect he can get more if he suddenly gets a lot of requests for it.
The trebuchet itself consists of four parts: base, two sets of vertical poles, and the trebuchet arm. The fit is loose, and I used some filler and gap-filling superglue to make it go together better.
There are also three crew figures: an Orc with a whip, a Goblin carrying a rock, and a Goblin at the firing lever.
The trebuchet and crew barely fit on the 'large' size base for Mighty Armies.
The model was painted by Fernando Enterprises, then I assembled and based it.
I chose to build the model with the arm all the way down, as I thought the model would be more robust that way. However, that means the counterweight slants a bit.
