More of Bronze Age Miniatures' wonderful 32mm science-fiction range were on my workbench recently, to get a base upgrade for storage purposes.

This manufacturer doesn't name his products, so I'll just refer to it as 'SF machinegun'.

These figures were painted on commission for TMP, and unfortunately, I don't have a record of who the painter was.

The painter also did all of the basing.

For the upgrade, I first filled in the hollow bottom of the plastic base with 3M Wall Repair Compound.

When the filler was dry, I added self-adhesive FlexSteel from LITKO. Now I can safely store the model in magnet-lined storage boxes.

The gunners are wearing breathing helmets (one with a face mask, one with goggles), connected to a backpack air supply.

Epilogue: Just as I was writing this article, the model suffered a mishap – back to the workbench it goes for repairs!
