Birds of Prey

Cover picture

Brief Description

The original game dealt with the fighting at the start of the Lunar Rebellion of 2032, when improvised ships and weapons were all that was available. This supplement takes us into 2033, as both sides begin to equip with military technology designed for the lunar environment.

New background includes a strategic summary as of September 2033, a brief history of both factions, some fiction, descriptions of combat training and elite squadrons, and an introduction to 18 new vehicles:

  • Alpha Colony
    • A-292 Darkwing - "The Duck" is a recon and surgical strike craft
    • A-501 Pharoah - 2-man tactical bomber
    • A-501C Monarch - transport variant of the Pharoah
    • F-100 Starmaster - interceptor
    • F-101 Starfighter - improved Starmaster, with greater weaponry but less range
    • A-203B Rocketeer Wardog - Wardog variant armed with rockets
    • A-203D Wardog - Low-cost "Warpup" second-line fighter
    • A-407B Marshal-Z - Marshal variant, lacking the Paralyzer cannon
    • EA-407 Recon Marshal - surveilance variant
  • Lunar Freedom Alliance (LFA)
    • Longbow - modified Dragonfly armed with rockets
    • Grenadier - ground-strike variant of Dragonfly
    • Pegasus - combat transport (improved Horseman)
    • Horseman - lightly armed transport
    • Slingshot - maneuverable fighter (modified drone)
    • Buckshot - "improved" Slingshot
    • Moondragon Trainer - 2-seater version
    • Snapdragon - Moondragon variant with superior forward firepower
    • Bloodhound - reconaissance craft
