The following lists the stands you would need in order to field an army of that nationality which could fight in all of the published scenarios original game and first supplement.

Within each army, cavalry units are listed first, then infantry units, then artillery units. No count has been made of divisional generals, wing leaders, and army commander stands.

About the format:

1. the total number of brigades is listed for each troop type
2. Then, for those intending to individualize their brigades, the size of each brigade is listed
3. The total number of required figures is given
4. Finally, the scenarios which use this troop type are listed.

Means that you'll need 92 figures, organized in three 6-stand brigades and one 5-stand brigade, and that they are used in the Aspern, Leipzig, and Marengo scenarios.

A Note About Context: Most armies during this period made changes in their uniforms and equipment during the Napoleonic Wars. Therefore, the army builder has three options:

• build a different army for every period -- in other words, you'll want an 1806 Prussian army and an 1813-1815 Prussian army. If this is your goal, then this web page really doesn't apply to you, since it generalizes across several periods.
• build an army for one period, use it to game several periods -- that is, you build and paint a late-French army, but don't feel awkward using it for earlier scenarios.
• build a multi-period army -- you might have a corps of each major type of Prussians, for instance. When your army is large enough, you'll have enough troops to play small scenarios with an historically-accurate army; when the big battle comes along, you combine your 1806 Prussian corps with your 1815 Prussian corps to field the proper number of miniatures.
