My Kingdom for a Horse
Each player controls one or more retinues, Newark’s ‘gangs’. The retinues will nominally be fighting for one side or the other, so players will be in alliances, though not bound to co-operate. The game can be used from periods from the Dark Ages to late medieval. It is not really for battles when there was organisation of armies into arms - archers in a block rather than fighting for their individual lords.
