I think the rules are simple enough to be easy to pick up but the card hand makes for an interesting game on many levels.

The rules are realy easy to pickup, even though some essential are unclear of have been leftout by mistake, it all cleare up if one read the Designer notes at the Lardies blog: toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=1075

Itīs absolutely the fate cards and the campaign system that gives the rules the real dark age feel.
