Up to now I've always used MDF for basing 15mm for FoG etc but I have looked numerous times in the past for plastic bases along the lines of FOW which, in my view, are MUCH better than MDF. With MDF I don't really like the height of the bases for 15mm and I don't like the way the edges often look. OK for 28mm, just not 15mm for me.

Is anyone aware of any plastic bases being made for the DBx/WRG/FoG style of basing. I'm really quite surprised that there isn't a company doing these as I think they'd go a bundle.

Never used either MDF or plastic bases for 15mm. Always used mount board. Works fine.

Essex Miniatures – although these are as thick as MDF bases.

As Spartiate mentions above, I do indeed do bases suitable for FoG. Also just started making bases suitable for the 28mm FoG game as well. Plus Koenig Krieg ones.

Magister militum do them – in bags of 50 – just a little thicker than mountboard. After years of only using mountboard I recently switched to plastic & am very pleased with them. And a few spares came in very handy for levelling a couple of cupboards in the kitchen the other weekend!

Yup the Magister Militum plastic bases are brilliant and they do a nice range of sizes that are also compatible with other rule sets.

I use plastic card, which is cheaply available in any modelling shop. It is very easy to cut accurately with a metal set square – you just score a line and then snap it.
It is available in any thickness you want – be warned though that thicknesses less than 1mm can warp over time (bitter experience from my youth). However eve 1mm is a lot thinner and more durable than most basing solutions.

Thanks for info. Tried plasticard and am not keen, also mount board. The FSS look nice but I am in the UK so will likely look at Magister. Justin of VVV also pointed me towards Rendera:

VVV also stocks Litko so will consider those as I magnetise most of mine for storage and transport and they will save me another job.
