Apart from the Lidless Eye lists for 6th edition (or was that DBM ?) and the fantasy appendix to 4th (??), has anyone developed a comprehensive fantasy system to sit with WRG ancients ?

Not just Hyboria ! grin As that was basically all humans and magic free (other than non-battle characters IIRC).

Warrior Rules (essentially WRG 7.5) had a test set of Fantasy Warrior. You can probably still get it by joining the Warrior Rules Yahoo Group. I printed out a copy years ago but have moved on to FoG.

Here There Be Dragons, is the DBM supplement. Also known as De Bellis Fantasticus. April 1998

I am not sure there was anything else for the WRG rules than what you already named.

Cheers,

WRG Ancients aren't fantasy?

It would appear not…rather an intricate attempt to simulate every troop type and weapon variation over a 5000 year span without the use of special rules for every troop type and weapon over a 5000year span and all grounded in the best archaelogical knowledge of the time.

That's dedication.

Course it is interesting to see if the overall results are any different to a set of rules designed only from half a dozen primary school books on the ancient world….

Or any other set of rules you care to name :-)

I have a campaign list with Fantasy stuff from '84, using 6th.
I will try to find it tonight and pm it tomorrow.

Any luck ?

The good news is, there is wargamer-mannheim.de just look at "WRG6te Fantasy" and there again you will find the link "WRG6te Fantasy" to a fairly comprehensive Fantasy supplement to 6th. The bad news is (if you haven't already guessed), if you do not speak German, no luck here…..

File me under "no luck here"
