I have C&K. How different is Bloody Barons? It's it just C&K updated with army lists for the medieval era or is it a completely different system? |

I don't believe Bloody Barons is grid based. Which makes it more akin to Regiment of Foote. |

Bloody Barons is a completely different system that seems to owe more to RoF than C&K. It is not grid-based and has a WoR specific campaign element at the start of the game. It also includes scenarios for several battles from the WoR in the rule book. It seems to owe something to Poleaxed as well in the way that the units are set up as mixed battles. Hope this helps, Wukong |

IMO its only really like Poleaxed in that you field mixed weapon units. Other than that I don't think its like Polaxed at all. Poleaxed is quite an 'old school' wargame where as BB is all about 'period feel' and playability. |

Havnt played C&k, or any of the other games listed, but play and love BB. The possibility for trechery and having your plans go wrong ( like the game last week where my deployment was fecked over by bad weather and my heavy cavalry ended up behind a marsh ! and my cannon didnt work because of the rain) and the easy playability of the rules make an excellent game and easy to learn. |
