In a forthcoming issue of Wargames Illustrated (to be published end of October, cover date November) there is a feature on the Peloponnesian war between Athens and Sparta. As part of the feature there are some scenarios and one of those has been expanded as a battle report to explain some of the features of War and Conquest.

Rick Priestley and Nick Eyre (of North Star Military Figures) fought out the battle which was a scenario based on the battle of Amphipolis.
Rick is writing up the battle report and providing commentary on the rules mechanics and game play. You will need to read the article to find out the result of the battle.
I was there to help both players with the rules. Danny from WI took all the photos for the article but here are a few pictures I took myself.

We all had a great day and my thanks to Wargames Illustrated for making this possible.

For folk in the UK, see you at Colours, Fiasco and Warfare with a variant of this game!
Our Greek command pack is now also available picture and details here link

Rob,

Looking forward to it. Any other write ups or reviews on W&C?

There already has been coverage in the past two issues of Wargames Soldier Strategy.

Once we get past this weekend when we show off the game again at Colours and preview some page spreads I am sure there will be plenty more and of course the Scarab forum and war and conquest yahoo group both has some chatter about the game.

Kind regards
Rob

Thanks Rob! I don't get Wargames Soldier Strategy and i don't think B&N carries it. I'm checking out your forum and Yahoo group.
