The more I play Command and Colors the more I like it. I would like to extend it beyond ancients using the armies listed in DBA.

I know this has been done with the ancient armies listed in DBA on this site…

ccancients.net

but I am looking for the rest of the DBA armies.

Does anyone know where I can find the rest of the armies listed in DBA converted to Command and Colors armies?

or any ideas how to convert them myself would also be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I had the same question about how the original lists were created. Looking at the Greek Hoplite lists, for example, typically showed two rated as heavy and the remainder as medium. I suspect that the DBM(M) lists were used, and pared down to DBA sizes, rather than the original DBA lists. Either that or the original author got mighty creative.

Ultimately, that seems to be the real problem in conversion: DBA does not distinguish between heavy and medium as CC&A does. Maybe it would be better to look at the FOG lists and scale them down.
