A friend of mine and I dusted off our Medieval Tactica this weekend and played 2
large games using the armies from the Battle of Bouvines 1214. I made a list of
modifications and we ran the game as a test for a convention game. I think that
we are going to run it at Cold Wars. I had forgotten just how much fun these
rules are and we played 2 games with 18 units on one side and 19 on the other in
just over 2 hours per game. I highly recommend these rules as an alternative to other quick play sets out there. With a few minor modifications for army lists and command they are my favorite set based upon what I have been playing the last few years and I think that I may have tried almost everything out there for medievals.

We use to play the Italian-City State lists.
Had a quick round robin tournament on a Saturday afternoon.
Which they had done Renaissance!

We've played the siege rules a few times – great!

Our group uses Armati 2 for Medieval, they play a lot like Tactica.

Loved the Italian City-state lists.

Tactica Medieval is a great set of rules. The siege rules in the back are worth the price of the book all by themselves.
