Big Red, whats your standard base size for hail ceaser, by the way, if I might ask, and do hail ceaser based troops also work well for To the Strongest? Also could you tell me where you order those nice rounded edge bases from? |

Hi Das, Those aren't my minis I should say. I personally base miniatures on 6cm square bases, and a unit usually consists of either two or three such bases, depending upon the size of the available table. In terms of To the Strongest!, base sizes aren't really important as it is played on a grid. I usually use units that are 12cm or 18cm wide but one can use figures based for WAB, for Impetus, or even singly based for skirmish. It is a very flexible system. I don't know who makes the rounded-edge bases; I must say I am quite jealous! They look great, and I wish I had started using those myself, ten years ago. Best, Simon |

What is the size of the grid? Is it squares or hexes? |
BigRedBat | 30 Nov 2014 6:39 a.m. PST |
The grid is of squares and can be any size, but I recommend for a 6 x 4 table that it is 12 squares by 8 squares, using a 6 inch/15cm square. Such a square fits a 12cm-wide unit very comfortably. For those with WRG based figures, this could be two elements abreast of 28mm figures, or three of 15mm figures. If using single 28mm figures based on a 20mm frontage (ie based for WAB) then you would get six foot abreast in a box, or 5 mounted. Very happy to answer any questions… Best, Simon |

What army lists are included? |
BigRedBat | 30 Nov 2014 8:12 a.m. PST |
Hi Red Dragon, So far there are 17 lists, that can be downloaded for free from bigredbatshop.co.uk. I will be adding more lists at the rate of a couple a week, and hope to enlist some volunteer assistance to get more lists produced. I'm working on the Ancient German list right now… Have a look at the Late Roman list that is also in the shop which gives an idea of how I intend the lists to end up. Best, Simon |
