I just backed this clever Kickstarter featuring jigs that can be used to cut all types of hex terrain from foam:
The Kickstarter is here: link The hexes are 100mm across point to point (50mm on a side) – so it seems like building a table with this would give you the ultimate To the Strongest "sorta grid" system. Simon interested in your thoughts? |

I've already backed this as well. I have a lot of hexon terrain so interested in how this can be made to fit. 'To the Strongest' is on a square grid – this will be hexagonal – so as it stands it won't help? |

My thought was that if you're playing a 100mm or 200mm grid game – you can use the hexes almost like boxes by drawing an imaginary line across the top part of the hex. You'd be able to tell what "box" you were in just by looking at the table without having to put pins and/or use a mat with lines on it. |

Indeed I'm very "square" at the moment! ;-) But I can see it could be useful for hex based games. Hexes would be great for post-Napoleonic era rules- I used to play a wargamised version of Memoir '44 on hexes- great fun! |

I have a lot of hexon terrain so interested in how this can be made to fit. It won't. The OP stated "The hexes are 100mm across point to point (50mm on a side)" – whereas Hexon is 100mm side to side (i.e. not point to point). |
