The final scenario 409 AD is posted to the blog. If the game follows the actual timeline then the Vandals accompanied by Suevi and Alan will make their crossing over the Pyrennees in late fall to end the game. This final scenario will definitely keep the Roman player hopping about the map suppressing revolts and repelling coastal raids while his authority slowly erodes away. link Cheers, Robert |

I'm confused. How does a scenario fit into a campaign game? |

So if the scenarios for each year are pre-designed, do the results of previous games played affect the campaign? |

Bill, The final positions reached in 407AD become the start positions for the next campaign year. Plus any "activity points" accrued are carried over to the next scenario. These two points can bring a player ahead of the actual historical timeline (or behind). Currently, Constantine III has a healthy accumulation of points to beat back possible rebellion and with the changes in barbarian movement, they just may reach Hispania. Cheers, Robert |
