I put on a quick unofficial demonstration game of Dux Bellorum at my local wargaming club. It went really well I think: link |

Hrldplmr- Now that you've played it, what are your thoughts on using it for the period 800 to 1066? The game descriptions I've read online seem to indicate that the mechanics would be fine, but that one would need to work out troop type values/army lists. Is there a supplement planned for this later period Thanks, Mark |

Now that you've played it, what are your thoughts on using it for the period 800 to 1066? As a play test, I played out Civitate. The Normans got a boat load of high quality cavalry and the Papal got some hordes of course! The game ended with a believable result and the battle even centered around the hill with reinforcements arriving just in time. Right out of the box, I'd say the game would work just fine for this period. John |

I can't remember the last time I was so eager for a set of rules to be released. |
