I haven't had a game of DB in ages but I had great fun showing a chum at the Nunawading Wargames Association the ropes the other day. link |

Thanks for the photos and report. I have played a dozen or so games by now of DB and I really enjoy it. Our group is in the midst of an Aurthurian "Winter King" campaign. |

Nice write up. Learning that 'skirmishers' in DB are really 'levy' troops is one of the lessons a warlord needs to pick up on quickly. In terms of the aesthetics, I use individual figures for command points, and a single dice for cohesion, colour-coded to identify companions, nobles, wariors and skirmishers. |

I can't get past how ugly the game looks with all the markers \ dice. Cheers |

Have to agree Scotty. It is the one thing putting me off, I have the rules, but the markers are a killer for me. |

You should really try to overlook them long enough to play a game or two. They are very fun. I originally felt the same way, but the LPs and placement there of are really a fun part of the game and seeing where they are actually makes you forget about the aeshetics of it. I know that makes little sense, but after you play you might understand what I mean. Allen |

I've played two games thus far. Not bad rules but like I said, it isn't very pleasing to the eye |

You can easily use more pleasing markers. As I said, I used individual figures for leadership points, and single dice on the base of each unit for Cohesion. Thie latter varies from 1 to 6; it should be possible to come up with a non-dice solution (but my bases already have a dice frame on them). I'll try and come up with a picture soon. |
