We are on stand GB05 with not one, but two games. The first is your fairly typical 32 points-a-side Arthur v Saxons game and the other is a larger 64 point-a-side battle pitting a Late Roman army against a dastardly allegiance of Picts and Irish both games using 28mm figures and impetus-size bases. Look forward to seeing you! |

I'm fond of these rules. I'm curious – has anybody tried to play this "baseless," with individually mounted 28mm figures? |

Me and my playing partner have bought sabot bases from warbases to use with our individually based 28mm figures. We've only played it in 15mm so far though. |

Gno2000, I've a question for you regarding bases. I've got a large number of troops already based for Impetus with the 120mm frontage, and they work nicely. My question is this: How would the game be affected by using 120,, oval bases? I've a few of the 120mm oval bases that were used for the WH40K Thunderhawk Gunship flight stand. To my eye, they'd make wonderful vignette bases, and the plain plastic ones are fairly inexpensive. The "corner" on each edge could, it seems to me, be marked for to measure from. If both armies were based like this for a game, would it have that great an impact? Thanks for any reply you might offer. V/R |

Well I have not tried it so can't say for sure but I imagine you could get oval bases to work. |
