Excellent paint job on tinne-weeny miniatures. Well done!

Who asked this joker21 Apr 2014 1:30 p.m. PST

I've seen a sample of his work in person the other night and don't mind saying that the pictures actually don't do the paint jobs justice! I joked that he likes to paint every button on every figure! They are THAT good! wink

Very nice work …I am going to be going down the 10mm route for Dux Bellorum myself, what base sizes are you using?

Prince Alberts Revenge21 Apr 2014 2:17 p.m. PST

Thanks for the kind words gents. John, much appreciated you taking time and playing an introduction game over at Huzzah. I had a blast and feel I understand the rules fairly well after gaming them (and asking quite a few questions, ha)!

I opted to base foot on 60x30mm stands and cavalry (including come upcoming chariots) on 60x40mm. I think I will pick up some wooden dowels and paint it candy-striped in base-width increments. Looking forward to painting the rest of the Sub-Romans, they are awesome sculpts Clib!

Well, I just shoved my half-painted late Roman 10 mm army in a drawer. I can't begin to match those beautiful figures.

Joshua, great work mate! I'm actually just starting on the same project (3 Romano Brits and some stampeding sheep done based) and using 60x30 bases. I'll be following your progress on this one too!

WOW, just got mine from Pendraken, hope I can get somewhere near the standard of this painting.

Nic: First off to steal a quote from Abbot Lord…"WOW!" Those are some fantastic bases. Love the paint scheme (not to mention the technique). I have yet to paint up my cataphract base, working on my Irish now (which I will add to this thread once some bases are complete). Awesome work.

Cheers mate. I rather prefer yours. (I think I'm a fully paid up member of the mutual appreciation society these days)
