Nice work

Nothing says "bad day written all over it" than a horde of Vikings

sillypoint15 Apr 2014 7:30 a.m. PST

Nice! Flower stomping Vikings, well done.

Nice work and great to see that you've tackled the shields yourself.

Darrell.

They look great, especially in a mass like that. I like the way you arranged them as well, with some overlap.

Cardinal Hawkwood15 Apr 2014 2:15 p.m. PST

thanks Atheling.I don't subscribe to the heavily adorned and motifed shield of the Dark Ages theory that is around these days.In fact I believe that they would be a lot plainer than the way I have done them but then this is wargaming.

Katzbalger15 Apr 2014 3:12 p.m. PST

They look really really good! The placement is nice (with the bend in the line and the edges curled back).

Sweet painting, they certainly look ready to kick some A-s!! The way they are based looks realistic, standing ready side by side ready to fight to the last man

If there was a " like " button here I would certainly press it!

Where did you source the field flowers from btw?

I personally do not like the look of the thick MDF bases.

Cardinal Hawkwood28 Apr 2014 7:20 a.m. PST

Field floweres Noch
thick bases? it's all in the choice I suppose, it
certainly makes moving a base of metal figures around a lot easier.

Cardinal

They do come up well.

Had used laminated card for bases but when I first saw your 6mm MDF versions awhile ago it became so much simpler.

Thanks

Garry
